Archie Kennedy: Island Guy Extraordinaire

Archie Kennedy is an oceanographer who was hired by Charles Widmore to run a series of tests at various specific sets of coordinates in the South Pacific. The tests and locations were strange and seemed insignificant to Archie but the pay was too good to turn down. In late 2004 he and a small team set sail to the first location.
Things went south almost immediately as everything that could possibly go wrong did. Their equipment started malfunctioning, their crappy ship wasn't running well, and finally a huge storm blew up and everything went to shit. Archie was the only one who got out alive, escaping via life raft.
The next morning, the raft washed ashore on a seemingly deserted island. With no other choice he set out to build shelter, gather food, etc. After about a month or so he encountered a group of people who claimed to be survivors of a high profile plane crash, Oceanic flight 815.
Two weeks after Archie joined the survivors, another man emerged from the jungle claiming he was Archie Kennedy. This new man was actually one of the Others (read: people who live on the island and enjoy ruining lives and acting mysterious) but the survivors of 815 had no idea of knowing which Archie was telling the truth. They argued about what to do and probably had fist fights in typical early-season-Lost fashion.
That night one of the survivors decided to take matters into his own hands. He stole a gun and shot Archie and the Other and it probably turned into a very dramatic plot twist involving some seriously weird shit like maybe Archie was actually the son of one of the Others or something but we'll never know!
Aboard the barge, he thinks he's a newly arrived inmate. He carries a lot of guilt over the loss of his research team and he blames himself for their deaths even though it was beyond his control. He cites his own panic as the cause for his failure.
He's a bit older than our navy Archie but possesses the same sense of humor and cheerful demeanor. He's just not hindered by a super uptight society so he'll willingly say what's on his mind. All replies from Lost!Archie will be via
